The project team is looking for industry collaborators to co-apply the government funding - Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF). For details, please contact the Project Manager.   

 

ITSP (Tier 3) projects

Suitable for projects that are eploratory & forward-looking in nature.

Call for application: March and Sepempter every year

Funding cap: HK$ 1.4 million

Project Duration: Not more than 18 months

 

ITSP (Tier 2) projects

Suitable for projects that are Industry-oriented, with potential for commercialisation in nature.

Call for application: March and Sepempter every year

Funding cap: HK$ 30 million

Project Duration: Not more than 24 months

 

Guangdong-Hong Kong Technology Cooperation Funding Scheme (TCFS)

CUHK Internal Deadline: 25 May 2018 (Friday)

Notes: 

1.     Proposals under specific themes/topics in technology areas of common interest are invited. Applicants please refer to the Theme Document for details. 
2.     TCFS applicants must highlight the element of Guangdong/Hong Kong or Shenzhen/Hong Kong cooperation in the project proposal (e.g. collaboration between research institutes and enterprises in Guangdong/Shenzhen and Hong Kong).
3.     For platform projects, industrial sponsorship (in cash and/or in-kind) from at least one private company covering at least 10% of the total project costs is mandatory. For collaborative projects, the industry co-applicant should contribute at least 50% of the total project cost.

4.     Applicants please read the Guide to Filling in the Application Forms carefully before preparing the applications.
5.     For applications submitted under Category A (1), i.e. through the five R&D Centres, before submitting applications to R&D Centres, applicants are advised to email the application materials to ORKTS for review by the internal deadline. 

 

Nature: To support production of prototypes/samples and conducting of trial schemes in the public sector to facilitate / promote the realisation / commercialisation of R&D results of completed ITF projects.
Restrictions Use of samples/prototypes and/or conducting of trials are confined to the public sector which includes Government bureaux and departments, public bodies (e.g. Housing Authority, Airport Authority), non-profit-making trade associations, charitable organisations, etc.
Duration: ~ 2 years
Funding Cap: Total sum should bot exceed 50% of the actual project cost of the original ITF R&D project
Sponsorship from Companies: Not mandatory 
Intellectual Property Rights: Owned by company
Call for Applications: Throughout the year
